For my own reason's I have switched over to mkv from avi files for video. I finally found the correct codec to get mkv files to play in windows media player classic. So long as I only maximize the screen playback is great, no issue's. If I put video into full screen I get tearing. I have no issue with any other file type. media player classic in full screen works great and I can get super high quality, just mkv files? I have screwed around and even managed to increase the video quality when the screen is just maximized. I have corrected the aspect ratio and done about everything I can think off. Anyone else have issue's with mkv file playback and full screen mode?
I have vista.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reply. I am having probs finding where the Vertical Black Sync setting are? I feel like an idiot but can't find it. Also in case you keep up with this I should add that I have disabled all Vsync and this did help. Also i played around with video frame and got some results from selecting "touch window from outside". Again thanks for response in advance.

VLC plays mkv videos better than Real player.
But if they are high quality, as in HD, It may lag at times.
