I have the same laptop, (Intel Core i3 350M, Home Prem x64) & tried all three drivers--ALPS, Elantech & Synaptics and found some "stuttering" on one of the 2 I discarded--ALPS & Elantech, (can't remember which)-- & have found the best performer to be the Synaptics driver...
