I was just checking out the partitions on my HDD. I have a Toshiba Satellite P745-S4217.

I noticed that I have two active partitions: one is my actual C: drive which is normal NTFS format, but the other one has label the added label Recovery Partition and has no name or file format. I was just wondering why it was like that. Any suggestions are welcome.

I have included a screenshot of what it shows when Disk Management is open.

Wow I just realized my grammar was atrocious in the the third sentence.

That is probably the partition that contains the image of your system in for recovery purposes should you ever want or need to restore your system to "as shipped" state.

Ya I was wondering why it doesn't have a format. Also, how would I access it to recover my HDD if it doesn't even have a format.

Can you right-click the drive and see what options are highlighted for that particular partition? Do not choose any options, just post them first. :)

All I get when I right-click is the help option.
