my computer is starting up slowly, and not entirely sure why. i have a dell 15r, windows home premium. i've gone through start-up programs to minimize things that i don't need when first turning it on.

Define slow please. EXACTLY what is slow and at what point is it slow? Also, what is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

It takes two minutes to finish loading or it takes two minutes at the Starting Windows screen?

Also, when you boot to safe mode does it do so at normal speed?
