when the computer was switched on "system recovery" appeared and was clicked "yes" when it finished we have had problems since usually involving the message following.if anyone can help i would be most grateful. thank you. the following appears on screen."msfeedssync.exe-application error. the instruction at "0x77d495c8" referenced memory at "0x00000048".thememory could not be read" can anyone help and say why and what can i do to fix. thank you. system is xp other than that im afraid im a computer dope.

That will give us a start point :).

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR REPLY.I AM ABOUT TO DO THIS NOW.unfortunately when i try to open up speccy it is being interrupted by the app error message and closes down

I would disable, following suggestions at http://www.webisee.com/2008/10/21/msfeedssync-exe-what-is-it-and-disable-in-ie7-ie8/ .
