All of these components are less than days old, bought new and put straight into this build. Keep getting a BSOD so I guess I'll try to give as much information as I can and hopefully someone can give me a hand.
Thanks in advance.
Edit..
It's also worth noting that it seems to occur more frequently while playing Star Wars the Old Republic but has also occurred while not doing so.

Did you download and install the latest applicable drivers, starting with the chipset driver?

If it looks like I know what I'm doing, there's a pretty good chance the only reason for that is because
I once asked someone to run chkdsk /r and a BC Advisor smacked me in the back of the head.

Hi

Nice system.

In addition to LucheLibre's question did you change overclock settings with the apps Asus usually includes like AutoTuning or TurboV?

If so, try setting everything back to the factory defaults. Automated overclocking can be tricky because the core parts of the system are all from different manufacturers.

As far as I can tell I've updated everything. I assume by chipset you are referring to the CPU? If so, I've tried to update it through the Device Manager and it claims it's up to date. If you can point me in the right direction that would be appreciated. As I said before, everything went into this system out of the box and no settings have been changed in regards to over clocking. I will continue checking everything I can think of to ensure that everything is up to date. I will keep checking back in case anyone posts another idea.
Thanks guys.

Edit..
Looks like there were still some windows updates that weren't popping up on the task bar that I found when I manually ran windows updates. I'll try that, but I'm unsure if it could be the issue or not.

By chipset, I mean the motherboard chipset.

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A97/#download

While Windows Update is good, you should download the drivers from the manufacturer's website. Be sure you have the latest graphics driver from Nvidia's site.

Yep, actually just found that site for the mother board and downloaded the drivers under chipset and downloaded the CPU Support list for my CPU that claims to improve stability. I'm waiting for the windows updates to complete and then I'll get those installed and I'll let you guys know how things are looking after I've played around a little bit to see if it's going to blue screen again.
Thanks again.

Edit...
Updated both of what I mentioned before and tried playing star wars. About 10 minutes in it locked up and blue screened with my GPU at 43 Celsius so I don't think there's any cooling issue. I'll continue checking different things I can think of that may not be up to date. If someone can advise some scans or something I could do to test different things it could be possibly be that would be helpful.

Here's that blue screen...

Based on personal testing that I have recently done, I am becoming convinced that Nvidia has a serious problem with their drivers on Windows 7 64-bit (and possibly Vista 64-bit but I have not had a chance to have physical access to one like I have recently had with a Windows 7).

I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful, maybe someone else knows the answer and will chime in.

If you find the answer elsewhere, let me know. Seems there are a lot of people this would help :)

Last things I would suggest is to update your BIOS since you're not using the latest. Make sure your backups are current before doing that.

I've attempted to download and run the BIOS utility found here "http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A97/" with no luck. I have it set for Windows 7 64-bit and I downloaded the latest file under BIOS and the Utility under BIOS-Utility, however when I unzip and try to run the BUPDATER.EXE I get an error saying...

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contract the software publisher."

Can I install the "M5A97-ASUS-0901.ROM" file manually without using the ASUS utility? If so could someone please advise how to do this.

My brother wrote down a message displayed on one of the crashes..

"A Clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval"

Wasn't sure if that information would be helpful.
I'll keep checking back regularly for new posts. Thanks in advance guys.

Donwload the proper BIOS file to a thumb drive. Then use the EZ Flash 2 tool from the BIOS.

Page 3-26 in the manual will show you how to use it.

Got the BIOS updated and played Star Wars the Old Republic for about an hour. No blue screen, which is longer than it has made it ever before, so it looks good. Thanks again for the help. I'll post back if anything else comes up, but hopefully I won't need to.
