----Woman's suing porno company on grounds that copyright law doesnt apply to porn "because porn is obscenity, and obscenity isn't protected by the Copyright Clause of the Constitution." :hysterical:

Personally I dont think she has a case, but it'll be interesting to see what the court and everybody else says about it.
People do dumb things. And I'm not talking about paying too much for car insurance either.

Piracy is a hot topic in the adult film industry.  Yes there are copyright laws and of course they do apply to adult films or porn.  A friend of mine made these short psa's  that discuss this very topic.  I posted the links below.

Let me know your thoughts after you watch these.. I hope that these psa's answered your question.

Thanks - NTStar :guitar:

The Adult Film industry is a legitimate business just like any other, some may not approve of the content they produce, however, but it still exists and is a part of the economy. Though I've always been under the ideology that if there is a want/need, then it will be filled, which is exactly why any business exists. Why not cover the content that is produced by this industry? If you view it from the standpoint of a normal business, they are producing unique works that ordinarily, would be covered under copyright laws. Why deny them the protection of the law if they are a legitimate business, paying taxes, and producing something that is consumed by the public?

Without going too far off the original topic, I've always wondered why free Adult content was legal, if a government wanted to protect its younger population from this content, why make it so easily available, then again, it is the internet.

computerxpds has it right...it's just content, like any other. For some self-proscribed 'guardian of morality' to decree it as outside the US laws is an example of how far idiots can go in ignoring their own megalomaniacism.

Life is strange......and then there's Thailand....

it is so much fun to validate what gives us pleasure, BUT THE FACTS ARE THESE..... 50 PERCENT OF ALL PORN STARS  have committed suicide ten years after they have been in a movie, porn is no more free speach then a film of someone sitting on a toilet and excreting yesterdays junk food.

All serial killers agree in interviews, porno powered masturbation made them quicker to act out a crime, cause fact is most serial killers are unable to have normal sex.

why are they so pent up they kill, 99 percent of all sexual serial killers were sexual abused or humiliated by their untreated raped mothers, and in America where mental care has been forgotten, we have the highest number of serial killers in the world.

They can not even conceive of a woman having sympathy for their needs, and men need sex, its the only time they truly let themselves open up and breath, heal, cry and fully experience emotion, proven ad in finitum in the laboratory, mens emotional restraints do not come down till they smell a women producing Oxytolcin,,,, sorry your fist can not produce this hormone, a prostitute molested by her father, as most are can not produce it as well, only when a woman feels very safe does it appear, sexual activity in the absence of Oxytolcin, makes the brain become frustrated seeking  this cyclic hormone exchange, people get grumpy and as they say in England about grumps, " I think he must be a wanker"

does copy right apply to porn, yes, some one nuts enough to do that in public filming has the right to seek recovery and "freely walk away from the days of their self inflicted wounds"

MEAN WHILE ----Porno feed sharks,

there is a leveling of male emotion in having to interact with a female at her safety instinctual level , where we are reminded sex is part of a whole circle that includes child rearing and devotion beyond the need for intercourse, not fun facts to this over sexed poster, but none the less the truth.

porno implies these facts do not exist, and your little girl, your off spring, pays the price.

have a lovely romantic life    :hello:

That's easy to answer.

Freedom of speech.

Millions of people everyday watch adult movies and do not commit crimes.  It's like guns and gun laws, Just because you own a gun don't make you a mass murderer.
