Ive just been given a acer aspire desktop not sure of model but it has xp on it it wont let me format as the installed version is newer than mine .I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to restore to factory settings

Well...you would have to look at the Acer system docuemtation...if you want to restore to factory defaults.

In lieu of that, I would suggest updating your XP CD via slipstreaming and then using that to reinstall XP.

ok thanks my next question for you all is on the graphics card it says 32mb nvidia geforce 2 mx 100/200 but i need one with a DVI port on it what am i looking for please?

Well...first tell us what model Aspire you have...so that we can see what your system can accomodate.

That will enable us to look at specifics for your system.
