I booted up today and got, first up, a blue screen that said "OS/2 WARP". After about 12 seconds the boot went alrightwith no problems. I rebotted several time and the same deal. The computer runs ok and nothing other than this happens. I keep it clean.
I went into my register and didn't find anything unusual. My anti-malware scans didn't find anything. And it happens when I boot into Safe Mode.
Not anything that's bad, just perplexing. Any ideas? This has me stymied.

That is an odd one :)

Take a look at your System Startup settings.

An easy way is like this....

Right click MY COMPUTER
Click the ADVANCED tab
Under 'Startup and Recovery' click the SETTINGS button.
Under 'Default Operating System' is there anything about OS/2 Warp?

Don't change anything, just let us know what it says if it OS2/Warp in it.

Click CANCEL to exit without making changes.

I think I've seen that screen before, but I didn't think anything of it.

See possible explanation at http://forum.soft32.com/win4/OS2-WARP-XP-Pro-Boot-Splash-Screen-ftopict232991.html .

Sorry guys, that I took so long to reply.
The 'odd problem' went away all by itself. I have absolutely no idea of how whatever happened.
Maybe I need to take this thing to a witch doctor and have him dance around it shaking his gourd.
