Well, you have two options really-one is do a clean install of windows onto your SSD, and transfer what files you want on it over from your other HDD drives, or if the SSD is big enough you can clone your HDD and just carbon copy it onto your SSD, thats up to you. If it were me, I would do the clean install the OS onto the SSD-and then only install the programs I want on the SSD, and keep all my music and photos and such on the HDD drive, since SSD drives tend to be smaller then traditional hard drives, and this way if you ever have to reformat you don't have to back up all your data and reload it. If you decide to go with the cloning route something like this may work for you.

Primary system: Motherboard: ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3, Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 945, Memory: 16 gigs of Patriot G2 DDR3 1600, Video: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 380, Storage: 1 WD 500 gig HD, 1 Hitachi 500 gig HD, and Power supply: Coolermaster 750 watt, OS: Windows 10 64 bit.

Media Center: Motherboard: Gigabyte mp61p-S3, Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+, Memory: 6 gigs Patriot DDR2 800, Video: Gigabyte GeForce GT730, Storage: 500 gig Hitachi, PSU: Seasonic M1211 620W full modular, OS: Windows 10.

A clean install is usually best, unless you don't want to go through the hassle or have a fairly empty drive to begin with. By the way, we didn't need your entire specs past your OS version in the list. You may want to consider shortening it, especially since your Windows 7 serial number is showing along with extensive system information unrelated to this topic.

Look for any firmware updates for your SSD. Better to update now before you actually put any data on it. Sometimes you have to have the SATA set to "IDE mode" for firmware flashes so RTFM.

Enable AHCI in the BIOS.

Just install the SSD by itself at first. After the new install, plug in your old drive, and if you have any data you need, pull it off then. Go through disk manager afterward and set up your partitions on the old drive, format and enjoy.

At least thats the way I usually do it.

no, you dont need to clean out your old HDD to get the SSD to work, just make sure you have the SSD set as your primary boot device, and once its all setup you may want to go through and delete all your windows files from it because they will be taking up excess space, but there should be no need to completly erase the old hard drive.
