hi all,

just joined up to get some help with a nasty infection -- foolishly ignored ESET's warnings and picked up a sirefef.DN variant in my svchost.

i've kept the infected computer pretty isolated and mostly powered down since so hopefully it hasn't spread far, but we'll see.

off to perform initial scans and get the logs ready, then will post to the malware removal forum with specifics.

thanks -

JC
