Dear Sir,
Today while browsing the internet using Mozilla Firefox as a browser, i suddenly got some message pop up on my screen & the pop up was not closing up even after i tried to close it many times. So i eventually closed the laptop & then restarted it.but to my amazementi got a message that your computer
is infected by a virus & pls do a system scan so i immediately pressed that software which looked like a windows based software. by name of system check.after finishing the scan it turned out to be a Trojan itself as all of a sudden i started getting multiple number of pop up stating that windows write failed with message as (failed to save components for the file \\system32\\00007d430 the file is corrupted or unreadable This error may be caused by a PC hardware problem).I tried to scan with malware byte which took 2hours 50 minutes to scan & show 10 vms &iruses & trojans under the name of fakealert!grb but when i delected the files & rebotted the Pc it all again came back. Also this trojan makes all the desktop items & other programmes as hidden.& due to this i am unable to work on my laptop.
There are also lot of other fake poppups stating that there is some problem with my HDD & my RAM etc. Also again & again its shows a pop up mentioning critical errors.also pop up stating File indexation failed

The specification of my system is as stated below

Model: Acer Aspire 4720Z
1.6Ghz,533MhzFSB,1MB L2cache
250Gb HDD,1GB DDR2 RAM.
Operating system : windows 7 Professional

Pls advise how to proceed so as to remove this Trojan without having to format my laptop.
Thanks in advance for your help
Thanks & Regards

Tejas

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.
