Hello All!! And Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge! I think I am in way over my head with this computer stuff. I am a Hot Rodder at heart and am used to making old cars and trucks look good and go fast. I am looking to do the same with my computer, however I dont know where to begin, except for starting right here. My wife who just recieved a new lap top from our son for Christmas has abandoned this pc to me. It is loaded with trojans and other viruses. I will post my situation in the appropriate section. Thanks again... Kevin

Start in the Am I infected? or since you seem sure you have trojans and viruses, just go here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic34773.html
and follow the instructions under: Preparation Guide For Use Before Using Malware Removal Tools and Requesting Help. Follow all the steps, if you cannot do a task, like run the DDS scan then skip it and go to tte next item. Hope you get it fixed and running right again.

Good luck
