What is she using for email? If she's using webmail like Yahoo etc., she should change her email password and that should fix it. Run malware scans anyway but it's a good chance she is not infected and only her email was hacked especially if being turned into a spambot is the only problem. The same thing happened to me a while back and changing the password fixed it.
