A friend tells me he has a virus on his Windows XP Home netbook - he didn't have anti-virus software on it !

He's now installed anti virus software and tells me that a scan picked it up and quarantined it. However, there is still an icon in the Quick Launch area called System Restore and a menu in the Start menu called the same - both of which I've deleted.

I've advised him to scan the PC with MBAM and await the outcome. I was wondering if there was any specific virus removal instructions, or tools, for this virus.
