I have recently 'cleaned down' because of a trojan identified as Downloader.Zotob which effectively keeps reinstalling advertising for anti spyware programes. One in particular which is very obstinate being "Spyware Strike". With so many proclaimed "best of.." programmes it is very difficult to know what ones are just demonstrating their muscle in order to promote the product or indeed which ones out of the honourable brands are the most effective. I am told that the Trojan I am referring to is particularly nasty and there are few files that can deal with it. Sorry to bother any one with the obvious but I just can't work out which one it is. In regard to Reg cleaners, I still have pop ups telling me system alerts even after I have a full version of PconPoint v3 running to say it has cleaned everything.
Cheers hope there is an answer.

Hi There

I have read your post and I think it would be wise for you to post a HijackThis log for an expert to review.

I recommend you follow the HijackThis preparation guide which can be found here. It is important that you follow the guide closely. A number of scans will be run which may well fix your problem.

As the guide says, after you have completed the scans that are recommended, please post your "HijackThis" log in a new topic in the forum found here. Please add your system infomation and also what problems you are having. Please be patient, and a HJT team member will help you to clean up your system

David
