My sister has a new dell inspiron laptop. She recently had a Malware virus that blocked her from Internet Explorer. Her virus company sent her a file via email (she some how was able to get into her hotmail) to download which removed the Windows Security threat virus which was a fake. Her computer rebooted and it was better. However her MSN Instant Messenger would now allow her to log in. She knew her log in info was correct. However, now she is able to log in. However, when she sends chat messages to messenger friends they don't get a notification or the message. We can see her online but says we don't show up as online. What is going on? Is the messenger being blocked by something and what can we do? She has already removed and reinstalled the messenger.
