What do you mean "internet files"? Exactly what are you trying to do?

Sorry I guess I meant temporary internet files. I heard they stay on the computer even when you get rid of them from the browser.

Internet Options - General Tab - Delete - put a tick in everything you want to delete

You can also go to the Advanced Tab in Internet Options, scroll down to the Security heading and but a tick in "Empty Temporary Internet Files Folder When Browser is Closed" if you like.
