Running Windows 7 on a Dell Laptop.. (don't have the model info with me at this time).

This is my Daughters lap top (fairly new..bought in September), and the screen keeps shutting down..but the computer is still running...?? Any idea's what would cause this?

Appreciate any info anybody can provide, she uses this to take notes in her Univ classes....so a working screen monitor is essential..

Thanks in advance

Have you checked the various settings at Control Panel/Power Options?

Sounds as though the screen is set to shut off after a specified time. Very normal.
