I found some users getting some great help on this site. I have run across several posts for issues that were close to what I am currently experiencing but wanted to make sure it fit my system before attempting any changes. Everyone here seems so knowledgeable so I thought I should start a new post here.

I had the "win 7 2012" virus that after some work searching around for various fixes, I used malwarebytes and it appears to be resolved, however now I have a new problem. I also had a trial version of Kaspersky that had expired so I removed it and tried to install AVG free. After doing this, the computer wanted to restart. It then started to say there was a problem and it would try to fix it. It ran for awhile and then said it couldnt fix it and I could try to use a restore point. Picking a restore point before I installed AVG allowed it to start. Not sure it was related, I reinstalled AVG and started a scan. This appeared fine for awhile, I am not sure if it finished the scan or not as the next time I looked the computer had rebooted and was back to the repair screen. After letting it try to repair for an hour or more I hard shut it down and booted into safe mode, removed AVG and rebooted again and it restarted normal.
Now my search results are being hi-jacked, when clicking on a link after getting some results in google, this takes me to a random ad site. If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it. I hate to think I have to wipe out this computer and start with a fresh install.
I know this is alot of background but I am unsure if all of this related or not so I figured it is best to disclose everything. I appreciate any help to get this computer up and running again.

Ok here are the logs, the two differences are 1) I already had malwarebytes but I did run a new scan, it didnt find anything so it didnt ask to restart. 2) I got a couple errors (the same error multiple times for the minitoolbox. " The ordinal 1108 could not be located in the dynamic link library WSOCK32.dll"

You have more serious issues there.

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.

Thanks again for the help. I have created "Search hijacked and more" in Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs section. I was able to get the DSS and attach logs, I couldn't run the GMER because of no 64bit version available. I also linked back to this page for detailed info and previous logs.

Thanks again, I hope we can get this one cleaned out.
