Hi. I have an HP Envy 17 laptop, running Windows 7, SP1, 64-bit. I need to be able to use Firefox 6, 7, 8, or 9 on my computer. The problem is that all of these are very glitchy. There is always a black bar at the top of the screen, and sometimes even the entire screen blacks out temporarily or flashes black. Is there any way to stabilize things so I can run any of these versions of Firefox? Thanks..

Must the browser be specifically FIREFOX, or can you use some other mozilla-type browser? You could try one, maybe Pale Moon could work for your computer. Pale Moon Project, www.palemoon.org.
