I downloaded .NET Framework 3.5 on my computer. When I go to Add or Remove Programs, it shows 3.5 is on my computer. But when I go to my registry, it doesnt show that I have 3.5. I need to have 3.5 in order to run a program on my computer and the .NET Framework isnt being recongized by my registry.

This is not where installed programs are listed.
Proper location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Huh, thats weird. I have some .NET Framework in the registry that I stated. And i have the rest of the .NET Framework in the registry that you stated. It does say that i have 3.5 installed on my computer but for some reason the program Im trying to use still doesnt want to open. Do you have any experience dealing with a program called XSplit?

Yea, thats where I was going next. Thanks for all your help though, Broni!
By the way, any idea of why some .NET Framework is in one place of the registry and why the rest of the .NET Framework is in another place?

No idea.
I don't have this folder at all:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\.NET framework
I only have:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup
which contains one subfolder - NDP

Well, I am running XP SP3 if that matters. But the only reason I know about HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\.NET framework is because I looked it up online and found this so atleast one other person has this folder. I guess it doesnt really matter since I found the rest of the .NET Framework. But thanks again for your help!
