Hi,

My Norton Internet Security recently reported many security threats of "Web Attack: Malicious Toolkit Website9". Also, I recognized from "task manager" that svchost.exe always used up most of the cpu and memory resources. So I suspected my laptop was infected by virus/Trojan. Doing a scan with Norton did not show any suspicious items. Then I ran Microsoft's malicious software removal tool and found a trojan: JS/Hiloti.F, and that removal tool seems to have removed that. After that, I also run combofix and again nothing suspicious being found. However, the primary issue hasn't been solved yet. Norton is still reporting security threats of Web attack and svchost.exe is still eating up all my resources. Can anyone please help me?

Hello and welcome.

Hello having run ComboFix we need to see that and a DDS log.

Please go here....
Preparation Guide ,do steps 6 - 9.

Create a DDS log and post it in the new topic explained in step 9 which is here Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs and not in this topic, thanks.
Skip the GMER step and instead post the ComboFix log you have.

Let me know if that went well.
