When I uninstalled a program today that I had installed on my desktop the uninstall erase about 8 file folders containing pictures that were on my desktop. I can not find them. I did go into control panel/folder options/view hidden folders and they are still not there. What should I try now?

Did you check the recycle bin?

Did you search for the files? If not, try that first.

If that doesn't work, download, install and run Recuva. It might find them for you.
