like a real dummy, I was in a big hurry and needed to shut down computer when update came up with 12 updates. I manually turned off machine and since then I get an error message and can't do anything on the computer. It boots up alright but when I try to do anything it locks up and message appears. I can't tell you what the message says because I don't have the computer with me. I haven't had a chance to try going back to last restore point. If that doesn't work is there anything else I could do? Thanks for any help.

It would help if you could post the error message.
