help with system restore xp

hey guys, quick question (well ok not that simple but here it is anyway)
i have a harddrive with corrupted xp registry and windows does not start on it, so i installed another copy of windows on a second harddrive i have on the same computer so now i can access the original harddrive no problems.
but the problem is that i cant do a system roll back on the original harddrive because windows doesnt start again on it not even in safe mode. is there a way i can do a system roll back on the original harddrive from my new harddrive?
any help greatly appreciated thanks a bunch

o btw im running windows xp home edition on both harddrives
