Hello, everyone. XP Internet Security 2012 infiltrated my desktop a few days ago, and I took a few steps to remove it, or, at least, attempt to. I ran Malware Bytes Anti-Malware and Combofix, and these processes seemed to get rid of the virus. However, shortly thereafter, I no longer could connect to the Internet (LAN). I tried to rectify this issue by reading some tips online, but to no avail. I decided to run Farbar Scanner Service by using my laptop for the download with a CD, then transferring it to my infected PC. My desktop will not allow Farbar to run. I tried to do a system restore, and although it indicated a successful restoration, my desktop is still having issues. I decided to do a Windows XP repair install, which apparently worked, but I'm still having a multitude of issues and I cannot connect to the internet.

My computer specs:

Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition Version 2002
Service Pack 1

****If I must post logs, how would I do so from infected PC, since I'm not able to access the internet from my desktop?

Your help is truly appreciated in advance!

Hey, thanks, Jet Stream 1. The Microsoft Fix It 50199 program was processed successfully, but my computer remains in the same condition. Also, I couldn't access any of the 3 icons that are displayed in the Microsoft Fix It window. I even ran the reset tool manually, to no avail.
