Hello
first open device manager

right click my computer - properties - hardware - device manager
then go to DVD/CD- rom drives
right click every cd or dvd rom you found
and choose uninstall
till nothing remain under
DVD/CD-rom drives
restart ur computer
then windows will detect all the cd's and dvd's found on ur computer
and will install the specific drivers for them
everything now must work fine

i hope that was informative to you

Look at THIS. Especially #32.

They have changed the web page since yesterday! I will search for the new url.

EDIT: New url: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;EN-US;310123

Just in case, it says the following:

Code 32
A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)

The start type for this driver is set to disabled in the registry. Uninstall the driver, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the driver.

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard. If the driver is required, and if reinstalling or upgrading does not work, change the start type in the registry using Registry Editor.
