Bought an HP desktop two years ago with Vista Home Ed.. Had Works 9 pre-loaded and no cd's. Geek Squad did the back up discs at time of purchace. Works word processor will not load. Getting an error message saying that a file has been altered or moved, etc. and to reload Works. Since I don't have a Works disc, there is a problem. All of the other features of the Works programs are normal. Tried system restore, but failed every time. I keep the machine trimmed down, eliminate junk, etc.. Any suggestions? BTW, as most of you know, plowing through all of the crap on Microsoft only raises your blood pressure.
