I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I would be grateful if anyone can help.

Although it's worked OK in the past, Realplayer will not now download a video file larger than about 25MB. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no success.

If I try to download a larger file, I get a message that "RealPlayer has stopped working" and it closes.

Can anyone suggest what the problem might be or is there a better downloader available.

Many thanks

MikeW

Hi Mike -
Do you know what version of DirectX you have currently installed ??
Many installations only have DX 9 or 10 downloaded automatically.
With Windows 7 SP1 it is best to check that you have DirectX 11 installed now.

Check your M/soft Updates to see if DX 11 has been installed, or is available to you -

Thank You -

FWIW: http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-181186-real-player-sp-downloading-not-working

I have RP installed for months now...I've experienced no problems (IE).
