My system was recently hit with the XP Antivirus 2012 which was removed using Malwarebytes. However, since then I have been unable to connect to the internet. The wireless connection shows as being connected but I can't browse through Internet Explorer or Firefox and I can't download any updates.
I have done all of the following to no avail:
All of the ipconfig result in the same error -
"An internal error occurred: The request is not supported.
Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services for further help.
Additional Information: unable to query host name."
After netsh winsock reset, I restarted the computer as instructed - still nothing.
Also ran the winsock XP fix and restarted - still nothing.
