After my cousin's computer was infected with the "Security Defender" virus, Malwarebytes removed the virus. Then there were error pop-ups after Startup, but they appear to be taken care of now due to the help of someone here on BleepingComputer.

Now everytime we shut down the computer, an "End Program" box pops up prompting to "End Now" before it will allow the computer to shut down. It never did that before until after the removal of the "Security Defender" virus.

It's an "End Program - rundll32.exe" box. That's the heading at the top of the box. Then this message in the box follows:

This program is not responding.

To return to Windows and check the status of the program, click Cancel.

If you choose to end the program immediately, you will lose any unsaved data. To end the program now, click End Now.

What do I do to prevent this box from continuously popping up everytime we try to shut down the computer? We have to wait for the box to finish "loading" (not sure what to call it), then after it finishes, we have to click "End Now" in order to shut down. How do I fix this? Please help.

This topic can be closed now. I'm receiving help from someone in the "Am I infected?" forum. This shouldn't be here. Sorry.
