could be overheating. Many mobo have an automatic shutdown if your cpu is overheating.

well i installed Mobo Monitor 5 to see if it was my CPU/MOBO temp that was killing it but they're all fine.

it happened today everytime i minimized cs or anyother game and once it said my nv4_mini.sys file was messed up so i checked it out and deleted it, thinking it would fix it but it only made my desktop in 6 bit color and only viewable in 600x800 so i restored it back to the way it was.

I have NO DAMN idea what the hell is wrong, but atleast i know it has something to do with my video card

so when i get my hands on 300 bucks, ill be buying and geforce 6600 ultra 256mb

thanks for the help guys

Scratch that, if you can get your hands on $300 you may as well either put that towards a new system (AM2 is only a few months away) or buy a card that's actually worth it like the 7800GS or x850pro. Both of them come in AGP and are way better than the 6600u.
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice
1GB GeIL Value Memory Looking for something better...

What size power supply do you have magg0t? I had a similar problem, and come to find out, once I started playing a game and working my gfx card, it would tax my power supply and my system would restart. However, when I wasn't playing a game, everything worked/ran fine. A larger power supply solved the problem.
