You are going to have to be a bit more specific. What are you trying to achieve?

Hi KABLOOET and Welcome
Strictly speaking, you don't really have to have anything in startup.I find that it's not that difficult to start programs when I need them and stop them when I'm done with them.
The only things I allow to start on bootup on my machine are my Antivirusand firewall.
First: See the pinned article at the top of the XP forum area

You can also go here:http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htmand check out the service configurations
There are a lot of services that you can disable to help your system run better and faster
