I attempted to post a new topic in the security log forum, but I keep getting a server reset error. I notice other new posts arriving upon refresh.

Disabled Windows firewall and tried again, but still no luck.

Can you post it here in this section. Then start a new topic there (so you will get the replies).
Let me know that's done and I'll move your logs there.

Just attempted to post the exact message without the "attach.txt" file attachment. Still no luck.

I will try from another computer, just thought it was odd that I can't post on the board I really need to

If it is allowed I will try to post a simple "TEST" message to that board

thanks

???????????

I was able to post a new test message in the log forum from XP (edit: was also able to reply to my first test post.)

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic435291.html

When I tried to post a reply to that post consisting of the original message I got the reset error again???

Just wondering if it could be related to the malware/virus issue I'm having, although other users seem to be able to post ok.

It would appear so. We have a topic now, Let's stay with that now. No more posts are needed. The malware team will look sy that and then handle it. It will be a few says thousgh as we are busy. All logs are answered. I wil remove that last test post and close this topic too.

MRL topic

DO NOT make further changes to your computer[/color][/b] (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a Malware Removal Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show it the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on the Malware Removal Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the Malware Removal Team members are very busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the Malware Removal Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another MRL Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

The current wait time is 3 - 5 days and ALL logs are amswered.

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic.
