I've had Microsoft AntiSpyware installed for ages now but over the last few days I haven't been able to use it, there's also no icon in the sytem tray and when I try to open it an error message says it has encounted a problem and needs to close. I've tried to reinstall it but it still won't work. I've also noticed some of my other anti-spyware products are encountering the same promlem. I've used numerous vius and malware scanners but they have found nothing.

Does anyone know of any issues or virus that cause spyware software not to work and how to solve this.

Any help would be appriciated as I'm not sure what to do next.

Thanks for your time.
