I was given a G-Drive external hard drive for Christmas, but I have to reformat it for Windows. My desktop runs XP.

I'm planning on getting a Windows 7 laptop. So here's my question:

If I reformat the G-Drive with my XP desktop, will G-Drive run on the Windows 7 laptop?
Or will I have to reformat the drive again to use it with the laptop?

You will need to do the "Deleting a partition in Windows" section first.
Be very careful that you don't select the wrong drive. A drive that would be a bad choice would for example be any drive showing a drive letter.

XP or Windows 7 no problems they should both work on the drive.
