Frozen Cursor

I used Combofix to try to fix a virus. At this time the laptop boots up and gets to the point where I would have to select the user and log on but it is frozen. The cursor is frozen and will not move. Any advice? I know... I messed up....thanks in advance for any assitance you can lend.

Moved from XP to AV, Firewall, etc.
