Hello Mikchek and welcome to the BC HijackThis furm. I do not see any signs of viruses or malware in this HijackThis log. It is clean.

I have seen many instances in the past where security suites like Norton will become corrupt and because they tie into so many different things on a system will cause the system to bog down. My recommendation would be to completely uninstall anything related to Symantec/Norton and reinstall/update the suite. Before doing that you might want to post a question in the XP forum and see what recommendations they have in regards to system configuration and performance issues.

Other than that, there are a couple of minor cleanup items that can be fixed in HijackThis so let's do that while you are here.

Start HijackThis and click the Scan button to perform a scan. Look for the following items and click in the checkbox in front of each item to select it:R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {00A6FAF6-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - (no file)
O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://bar.mywebsearch.com/menusearch.html?p=ZNxmk30786US
O16 - DPF: {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-DEFA-EB76B1D5FA7D} - http://ww1.reciperewards.com/bundles/reciperewards.cab

Now close ALL open windows except HijackThis and click the Fix Checked button to finish the repair.

Except for the above you are good to go.

Cheers.
