I am using an "Acer" laptop with Windows 7 OS and using "Firefox". 2 days ago I suddenly started to get rather large "animated" advertisements across the top of my "home page" which I didn't care for. I followed what I thought was the correct procedure to discontinue the ads. I clicked on a section that asked me if I wanted to "remove all" programs, which I selected. The ads have since disappeared but now my internet speed has slowed down to nearly dial-up speed. I have tried everything I can think of, which isn't much, to get back to my original settings. I am not very educated on computers, so I am afraid to try to many things in fear of loosing everything.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Looks like I didn't read the instructions very well. I should not be posting this on this forum, sorry.

Edit : Topic moved to a more suitable forum. All is well Paul
