Last evening I realized my Lenovo SL500 laptop was infected with the Trojan-BNK.Win32-Keylogger.gen. I found this forum and followed the instructions in this thread and believe that I successfully contained the problem (thank you!!!).

However, somewhere in the process, I lost the keyboard and touchpad. Niether will respond, however I am able to use a USB keyboard and mouse successfully. I have tried booting in Safe Mode, but to no avail. I'm assuming that something got messed up or removed in the registers, but am not sure.

Any thoughts or advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Dave

Edit: running Vista Home Premium SP2

It looks as though my problem is fixed. As I was waiting for a reply, Registry Mechanic popped up, ran, and fixed my registers. Keyboard and touchpad are back!
