Have followed the steps in removing xp antivirus 2012 but when attempting to run kapersty tddskiller the app does not launch and when attempting to run combofix it gets to scanning and the system stalls. Could really use some expertise here at this moment.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

To get assistance with your issue please start another topic in Am I Infected?
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum103.html

One of the malware removal experts will guide you through the process to see if your computer is infected. He/she will tell you what tools you need to use. If DDS logs are needed, you will be directed to a Malware Removal Logs.

Do not use Combofix. Please note this in blue at the top of AII:

When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.
