Hello all. Today im here asking if anyone has used WinAVI Video Converter 7.1. On paper it seems to be a nice program. Does anyone have personal experience/insight on this program?

What really caught my eye was the fact it could convert an .avi to dvd format and burn it in around an hour. I remember the last time i tried this with a software of which its title i forget. took like 7 hours. pc used was a p4 3g 800 mhz 1.5 gig ram. im guessing the reason it took so long was maybe highest quality after conversion maybe?

Anyhow thanks for any information, and my apologies if this is the incorrect board. i always end up posting on wrong boards for some reason.

Hi salshroom

I cannot recommend the program as i have never used it. However, i can recommend another program that i have used before for converting .avi to dvd. It's called mpgdvd and i saw my cousin create dvd's from .avi.

I hope this helps in some way
