I'm trying to fix a non booting compaq qc61 laptop for a pal. It looks like the mbr is all over the place.

When I boot it with a live disk the partition sequence is C: for the reserved. D: for the main windows installation and E: for recovery. I have read that the reserved should have no letter, and the main partition should be C: Is this correct ?
