stuck on non-system disk or disk error

I used disk sanitizer and exit and got the nonsystem disk or disk error what can i do?

what did you expect ,given the description of what disk sanitizer is used for .

From HP site ,
Deleted files aren't really wiped clean from your hard drive ,Anyone with basic knowledge of data recovery can "undelete" them. When you are ready to recycle, reassign or trade in your desktop, ensure data is properly erased with HP Disk Sanitizer, External Edition.

did you boot the computer to a windows OS disk to try and format the drive
