XP home pck3
Reboots on shut down .
When push button to turn off Takes a few hours to boot back up .
Sound like it starting towind up then winds down and nothing.
But after a while it will reboot. Some times a whole day .
Any Ideas. Runs great when its on but we have to leave it on all the time.Every other day we do a restart it that works fine.
Thanks.

Let's try this.

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html .

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When autoscan is done (screen comes up), click Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

1) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?
2) See if either of these links help:

The fan on his Graphics card died so we had to change back to the original graphics card. And it has been reset. Could the on and off button be bad and cause this? Some times when we shut it off by the button and go to turn it back on right away the light is red instead of green.Thiers NO beeping at all no error messages, but when we wait a few hours it turns righ on.
This has been very frustrating to me.Trying to figure this our. When I talked to the computer man at a littel fix it place over here he said because its 10 years old just replace it.Well that wont happen its my hubby pc and he hates change. Tell me to fix it.Thanks.
I'll keep working at it .
Thanks for any help.
No he doesnt have roxie on here.

Depending on the computer model, the red light would indicate if documented on the support site. Is it on the power led light and what computer/mobo is it?
