Hi just added 512 ddr to my system. Instead of showing 1024 or less it's reading .99 When I swicthed the position of the ram it reads the same thing. Seems to be reading the ram from the first slot. This system is a music xpc . not for games and no internet. Configured for recording music. Why would this happen?

RAM incompatiblility or a bad stick of RAM. Does the new stick show correct when installed by it's self?

I would lean towards incompatibility. Have your run Everest Home (hardware and software information) To see f it shows a conflict?

Are you sure that it's not reading .99 gigabytes (gB)? That's what 1024 mB of RAM is roughly (I'm presuming that the BIOS isn't able to display 1.00).
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
