Graphics card fried need help to replace or upgrade

Hi can someone help i need to know what's important when buying a new graphics card ie what specs will work on my pc is this PCI Express x16 graphics card support Gen1.0 all that i have to keep in mind Thanks for any help
My PC has an Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 1.8 GHz CPU, 2 Gb DDRII RAM,ATI Radeon HD2400 Pro 128 Mb graphics card Fitted

Any PCI 16x video card will work, however, what is your power supply?

No it doesnt have the be a 1st Generation one, what kind of computing do you any gaming?

No not alot of gaming i watch videos online and edit images in gimp for deskmodding,Themes
I just want a card thats better than mine but i know will work for certain in my machine Thanks
I Think the power supply is going to be my problem been only 250 W if i want a decent upgrade
