Hello!
My professor just informed the class by email that the project due at the beginning of the exam tomorrow must be in .mov format. Mine is .wmv format. :o
I just did a quick search online and there seem to be some freeware that I could download to do this, but I don't have time because of exams for my usual plodding research and confusion, etc.

Can anyone recommend a freeware program that I can download safely? Do I need to download anything?

Thank you for any help you can give me. I'm not so great with computers and this kinda thing throws me off more than the average person. All my classmates own macs and seemed confused when I asked. I guess my professor owns a mac as well.
I tried to search this topic on this site, but it wouldn't let me search for three letter words or something and so I apologize if this is already on the site. I just didn't know how to rephrase it. I'm kinda in exam hell right now and I hope to be back to normal next week. :axe:

YouTube Downloader can quickly and easily convert both .wmv and .mov files. It's a great way to get music via YouTube too.

Thank you so much!! :inlove:
It worked perfectly. I have sound and every thing! I though this was gonna take me all night but that was seriously less than 5 minutes to install and convert. Back to studying non-computer stuff!

As you are using Mac, think you could find a nice program from the Mac App Store, after searched in the store, a mov converter came: http://hdvideoconverter-mac.com
You could get a free trail from its official page to have a try before purchase.

There are many ways to convert WMV to MOV on Mac (Mavericks included). Here, I will introduce three method which are mentioned by many peopel.

1, In order to play WMV videos in iDevice and edit WMV files in iMovie, QuickTime and Final Cut Pro, you'd better to convert WMV to MOV (QuickTime) at: This way is generally accepted.

2. HandBrake: is a free and open-source multi-threaded transcoding app. It supports nearly any videos including WMV format and has Mac version and Windows version.

Cons:

HandBrake is too professional to handle for most people;
It doesn't support MOV as output format.

3. Format Factory: is a freeware multimedia converter that can convert video, audio, and picture files in Windows. WMV is compatible with Format Factory.

Cons:

Format Factory only has Windows version and is not compatible with Mac OS X;
It doesn't support 1080p videos and some YouTube downloaded videos.
