I am running Windows XP and picked up this trojan last week Trojan:DOS/Alureon.E
Trying to run Combofix and it will get to the scan mode and stop. The cursor will blink but there is no continuation or completion of the stages.
Any help?

Trojan:DOS/Alureon.E is really a stubborn infection. It seems that this trojan can root random files in your system and mutate fast. You need to figure out which part of your system settings have changed and which files need to be removed. If your have sufficient skills to deal with the system files, you can search for some manual removal guides. If not, you'd better get help from pc techs.
